Amanda and Nathan’s story starts almost as a modern day fairytale.
They met at work. Nathan is a pilot and Amanda a stewardess. Usually, in a career such as theirs, there’s not so much time to get to know someone straight away, but that didn’t seem to stop Nathan.
It was after only their second shift together they found themselves at a work party where Nathan worked up the courage to ask Amanda if he could kiss her. This could be where the fairytale ends – because she said no! But, good news all round, later that night she changed her mind. What was to come in the next 4 years, leads them to a beautiful fairytale wedding and reception.
The ceremony was in the open air on the grounds of Kirkham Manor. It was a beautiful bright day. Amanda and Nathan said their vows surrounded by green trees and blooming flowers on the wonderful grounds and lake of the estate. Guests sat on white chairs, which beautifully offset the white flowers and Amanda’s beautiful wedding gown, against the vibrant green of the land and trees.
The reception inside the warm and rustic Centennial Vineyards in Bowral, made a night to remember. There were entertaining and moving speeches, a tall and tasty cake from the always-impressive Cake Archade, and some seriously happy dancing from the bride herself. This was a simply joyous and intimate Australian country wedding, hitting all the right notes and celebrating an aviation romance.
A true romantic, Nathan says that when he stares into Amanda’s eyes, everything else stops. But for Amanda, her words reveal there’s no stopping her now it’s their wedding day – “Come marry me because I don’t want to wait any more”!
