Even before the rise of popular British period dramas, weddings on country grounds and estates have always been a popular one. Firstly, as city dwellers, its the best excuse to get away from the hustle and bustle. Secondly, there nothing more romantic than a backdrop that could come out of a Jane Austen novel. One of the benefits that come with a countryside wedding is that you never have to worry about your wedding location shoot. And with Newcastle based super talented Ben Adams as their photographer, our couple today, Janice and Nik, found themselves in good hands.
Just a couple of hours drive from Sydney and you might find yourself spoilt with choice. But Janice and Nik decided on the perfect place to celebrate their special day, on the Montrose Berry Farm. The two organised a nice little garden ceremony and invited Victoria Spencer to be their celebrant. With families from either side looking upon them with great blessings and anticipation, they said their vows and became husband and wife.
The couple shared a special song by Neil Finn called, “She’ll have her way”, and organised to have it played as Janice walked down the aisle. Naturally we felt that it was appropriate for their vows to be edited with the song. It was such an emotional day and an inspiring one witnessing the coming together of two people as well as their families from two completely different backgrounds. Once again we are reminded that when it comes to love, there are no boundaries. We wish the couple all the best as they embrace their future with open hearts.
