The Le Motion team has had its fair share of garden, church and harbourside wedding ceremonies. But for a ceremony at the Zoo, this is our very first. Reciting your vows with elephants and giraffes as your witness doesn’t really spell romantic, but you’d be surprised!
Our couple Cathy and Ricky thought it would be a good idea to celebrate their special day at the Taronga Zoo. They held both their reception and ceremony here and enjoyed a beautiful wedding with a backdrop of the iconic Sydney harbour view amongst nature and wildlife. The couple had many places to roam during their location shoot, with one of our favourite photographers Jack Chauvel on the frontline, the views are not put to waste.
We had the privilege of producing a prewedding film for the couple and are thrilled to be back for they wedding. In the helpful hands of Martha from D’Makeup station, Cathy looked radiant in her makeup, even after a very touching and teary tea ceremony. The Le Motion team is always prepared for a little emotion at weddings, but even behind our cameras, we couldn’t help but tear up to this scene.
We’ve decided to name this cinematic trailer, “Will you be my camera?” Taking reference from how Ricky asked Cathy to be his girlfriend with his “GF1” camera. Even as a joke it seemed kind of sweet as if to say, “GF1 – Girlfriend number one”.
We can’t rave enough about this wedding, it was a lovely ceremony performed by Robyn Pattison and an exciting bilingual reception MC-ed by Event Weddings, all in all it was a day that was beautifully celebrated.
